The Institut du Nouveau Monde has been mandated by the Ministère de l’Emploi et de la Solidarité sociale to carry out focus groups with people living in poverty and social exclusion. This activity is part of the public consultation to develop the fourth government action plan to combat poverty and social exclusion.

The discussion groups will be held in person and in videoconference from May 30th to June 22nd 2023.

Objectives
To better understand the issues and difficulties faced by people living in poverty and social exclusion.
To learn about their proposals for combating poverty and social exclusion in Québec.

Les groupes de discussion ont pour objectif de recueillir les points de vue de personnes en situation de pauvreté et d’exclusion sociale sur les principaux enjeux à considérer pour le PLP4, de même que sur les actions à mettre en œuvre pour lutter contre la pauvreté et l’exclusion sociale.
Les groupes de discussion se tiendront de la fin mai à la fin juin 2023. Chaque rencontre est d’une durée de 2 h et est composée de 6 personnes participantes. Le MESS prend en charge l’organisation logistique des rencontres en personne en sollicitant des organismes partenaires, et l’INM se charge des rencontres virtuelles (avec la licence Zoom INM).
