MONTRÉAL, le 23 novembre 2017 – C’est le lundi 27 novembre prochain, du 14^e étage de la BMO à Montréal, que l’Institut du Nouveau Monde (INM) lancera L’état du Québec 2018 avec 150 invités, dont plusieurs personnalités publiques et partenaires. Cette 22^e édition de l’ouvrage phare de l’INM, déjà en librairie, propose encore une fois 20 clés pour comprendre les enjeux du Québec actuel. Philippe Bourke, nouveau président du Bureau d’audiences publiques sur l’environnement (BAPE), y fera également une allocation.

En tout, plus de 40 textes écrits par une soixantaine d’experts et éminents chercheurs du Québec et d’ailleurs pour éclairer le public à propos de sujets tels que: Féminisme – Faut-il repenser le droit relatif aux agressions sexuelles?; Politique fédérale – Légalisation du cannabis : l’éléphant dans la pièce; Intelligence artificielle et emploi : quels défis devant; Culture – Les 40 ans de la Loi 101 : un « cold case »?; Justice – Démocratie, pouvoir et forces policières en terrain glissant ; Recherche scientifique – Les secrets de la diplomatie scientifique; Inégalités sociales et populisme : une relation surprenante ; La révolution IA avec le chercheur Yoshua Bengio; L’arrêt Jordan : le procès inattendu de notre système de justice; Politique provinciale – Le Québec est-il vulnérable à une dérive populiste?; Éducation – Politique sur la réussite scolaire : ce qu’elle règle et ne règle pas; Générations – Vieillissement de la population : le Québec est mûr pour une conversation sur la solidarité et l’équité intergénérationnelles.
